The World Bank Is Providing Financial Assistance To Sri Lanka For The Import Of Emergency Goods

The World Bank has agreed to provide 800 million in financial assistance to Sri Lanka for essential imports.

This was stated in a statement issued by the Press Wing of the President of Sri Lanka on Tuesday.

The statement said: “The World Bank has agreed to provide 600 million financial assistance to address the current economic crisis. They will release 400 million in the shortest possible time.

The World Bank says it will continue to assist Sri Lanka in overcoming the current economic crisis.

Sri Lankan stocks rose in the news and the Colombo All-Share Index rose 4.1 percent.
