Weapons supply to Ukraine poses threat to Europe’s security: Russia

A Kremlin spokesman warned the West on Thursday. Earlier, UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss called on allies to increase production of military equipment to stand by Ukraine.

Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the trend of supplying Ukraine with a variety of heavy weapons and military equipment was a threat to Europe’s security. The move is provoking instability in the subcontinent.

Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused Western countries of openly encouraging Ukraine to launch an attack on Russia. He warned that Moscow’s promise to respond to attacks on Russian soil should be taken seriously by the West.

Maria Zakharova was responding to a series of explosions in southern Russia on Wednesday. Meanwhile, a top UK minister has declared Ukraine’s attacks on Russian targets legitimate.

Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that countries that were interfering in Ukraine’s war and posing a “strategic threat” to Russia would be responded to soon.
