Police have recovered the body of a young woman named Tasmia Tarmin Tasmi (18) from Topkhana Road area in the capital’s Segunbagicha. Police recovered the decomposed body of the girl from a 14-storey flat in Nakshi Home on Topkhana Road on Saturday afternoon. After the legal process, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Tasmi lived with her foster parents in that house on Topkhana Road.   Shahbagh Police Station OC Moudud Hawlader confirmed the death and said that he was staying at the house with his foster parents. His foster father’s name is Abul Kashem. Their village home is in Comilla Sadar Upazila. According to the family, Tasmi closed the door of her room two days ago. Later he had no response. Today, the door was broken and the decomposed body of the young woman was recovered. According to the family, most of the time he would close the door and go out again. Because of this they did not understand. Later, when the stench came out, the police was informed. Police are investigating the incident. The cause of death will be known after the autopsy and police investigation, said the police of the concerned police station. Golam Rabbani, a cousin of the deceased, told Kaler Kanth, ‘Tasmi did not study till ninth grade. He fell into the trap of bad partners and became addicted to drugs. He did not listen to the family. However, he could not say why he committed suicide.
