Russia says it will launch an overnight offensive in Ukraine

Russia has said it will launch a series of attacks on Ukraine last night.

The Interfax news agency quoted the country’s defense ministry as saying. News from Al Jazeera.

Russia’s Defense Ministry says 369 Ukrainian targets were attacked last night. These include 35 control points and 189 areas where Ukrainian troops and military equipment are housed.

The ministry said 15 weapons and ammunition depots and four military infrastructures were destroyed last night.

On February 24, Russia invaded Ukraine. After that Moscow failed to capture the country’s capital Kiev and changed its target. Now the attacks on the Donbass and the southern part of Ukraine have intensified. The Russian army has already had considerable success. Moscow has been able to take control of several areas in the region, including Kherson and Mariupol.
