Jordan is ready to negotiate with Israel to resolve the crisis over the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque. They want to discuss this at the end of the holy month of Ramadan next week. The main goal of the talks was to lift Israeli restrictions on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and restore it to its original state 22 years ago.
Jordan has been accusing Israel of imposing restrictions on the mosque since 2000. A new Jordanian official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the new diplomatic initiative was aimed at easing recent tensions over the mosque and preventing another crisis.
