The Pakistani media Express Tribune reported on Friday (April 22nd) that the gifts received by Imran and Bushra had a market value of more than Rs 142 million in Pakistani currency but cost only Rs 36 million.

Under Pakistani law, all gifts received while in government office must be deposited in the government treasury. But it has been alleged that Imran did not follow the rules. The list of gifts that went into the state treasury during the PTI regime was kept completely secret. It was said that bringing this information to the fore could ruin relations with foreign countries. However, the Imran administration has been criticized for withholding information from the tax authorities.

According to documents obtained by APP, Imran and Bushra’s foreign gifts include seven luxury Rolex and other expensive watches ranging from gold and diamond jewelery, multiple necklaces, bracelets, rings, diamond chains, expensive pens worth millions of rupees, cufflinks, dinner sets, etc. .

Their most expensive gift was given by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Imran received the gift during his first visit to Saudi Arabia as Prime Minister. However, the PTI leader paid only two crore rupees to get the graph watch of eight and a half crore rupees.

Earlier, Pakistan’s new Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif accused his predecessor Imran Khan of selling gifts worth Rs 14 crore from government coffers in Dubai. He claimed that the gifts included diamond jewelry sets, bracelets and expensive watches.

However, in response to the controversy, Imran Khan said, ‘Mera Tofa, Mary Marji’. “These were my gifts,” he told reporters on April 18. So it’s up to me whether I keep them or not.
