Child reporter conducts adorably polished interview with Davante Adams

Las Vegas wide receiver Davante Adams made one child’s dream come true by granting an interview request.

A future reporter decided to showcase his skills, and Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams was more than happy to oblige. Following the Raiders’ contest vs. the Kansas City Chiefs, a 10-year-old named Jeremiah stepped up to ask Adams a question about the game. Adams was happy to oblige.

How about that? Adams was eager to speak, and young Jeremiah was fair, polite, upfront, and thoughtful. Yes, he asked for a picture at the end, which isn’t usually what journalists do, but he gets a free pass because of how well he conducted himself and the pure joy on his face.

Davante Adams made a young fan’s dream come true with an interview and photo.

It’s hard to get players in the league to talk to the media, especially after a loss. We just saw a tense situation in Tampa Bay involving reporter Jenna Laine and Buccaneers running back Giovanni Bernard.

The same thing happened in previous years, notably in 2008 with former Lions head coach Rod Marinelli and his encounter with former Detroit journalist turned Fox Sports commentator Rob Parker.

Still, it’s nice to see kids willing to come forward and be pleasant with their favorite players and players willing to be good sports about the situation and make time for a kid’s wish to come true. Jeremiah did an excellent job, and seeing the pure joy on his face only makes the situation better.

We look forward to seeing young Jeremiah in the field someday. Who knows? Maybe he will become a beat writer for the Las Vegas Raiders? The sky is the limit, and kudos to Davante Adams for jumpstarting this young man’s profession.
