Invitation to Saudi Crown Prince to visit Bangladesh

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has invited Saudi Arabia’s Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman to visit Bangladesh. Last Thursday, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Saudi Arabia Mohammad Javed Patwari handed over the invitation letter to the Prime Minister. 

According to a press release of the Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh, the ambassador handed over the invitation letter to the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Engineer Walid bin Abdul Karim Al-Khuraiji, at his office. 

It is said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the letter mentioned the strong bond and strong bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples. He also expressed hope that the support of the two countries in various fields will increase in the coming days. 

While handing over the invitation, the Ambassador emphasized on the continuation of bilateral relations and cooperation between the two brotherly countries on matters of common interest. At the same time, he discussed ways to increase cooperation in various fields along with increasing bilateral trade and investment, including providing support to each other in international organizations. 

The press release also informed that the Ambassador congratulated the Crown Prince on assuming the duties of the Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia. 

Last Tuesday, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz announced his son Prince Mohammed bin Salman as the country’s prime minister. He is also the heir to the throne.
